ROYAL OCEAN RACING CLUB

FASTNET RACE 2009

The Rolex Fastnet Race organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club needs no introduction. It is renown throughout the world as one of the premier yacht races.

The Fastnet Race starts from Cowes in August and finishes 608 miles later in Plymouth.  The fleet race westwards out of the Solent towards Lands End and then into open ocean towards the southern tip of Ireland where all yachts must round the Fastnet Rock. After rounding the rock it's a dash down to the Isles of Scilly to round the Bishop Rock lighthouse and a final dash to the finish in Plymouth, where the bars in the marina are open 24 hours a day.

We are pleased to offer a unique opportunity to race in the 2009 Fastnet Race on one of our Beneteau 40.7's. We do not require any previous experience but enthusiasm and commitment are most definitely required.
